Helpful resources for those seeking support beyond what Powwow can address.
I’ve added this page because Powwow does not always address every single need that you might have. If you are in need of help, please see if the following resources might help you out. You can utilize these resources in addition to Powwow help.

Support Resources
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — free, confidential support 24/7 by call, text, or chat for anyone in emotional distress or a mental health crisis.
- The Trevor Project — crisis support and suicide prevention for LGBTQ young people, available 24/7.
- LGBT National Help Center — free, confidential peer-support hotlines and local resources for the LGBTQ community of all ages.
- National Domestic Violence Hotline — confidential support 24/7 for anyone affected by domestic abuse, by call, text, or chat.
- Need Help Paying Bills — search your specific area to find financial resources available to help you.
- Abortion Services — NAF Hotline — if you need to talk to someone about abortion options, this link will help.
- The Homeowner Assistance Fund — government grant money (up to $50,000) to help get caught up on mortgages and utility bills if your financial troubles began with the COVID pandemic.
- Good Autistic Advocacy Organizations — a helpful resource for adults and children on the Autism spectrum.
- ACLU LGBTQ Rights — resources if you are LGBTQ and are facing discrimination.
- Free Educational Training on Coursera — free courses that may help you qualify for Commonwealth jobs and other positions.
- RedRover Relief — financial assistance and grants to help pet owners afford urgent or emergency veterinary care.
- The Pet Fund — financial aid for non-basic, non-emergency veterinary care when you cannot afford treatment for your animal.
- Pennsylvania Free Dental Care — lists free dental service clinics around the state.
- Catholic Charities USA — helps with farmer’s aid, migrant resources, affordable housing, education, adoption, and more.
- New Eyes — provides free new eyeglasses to people in need who cannot otherwise afford them.
- EyeCare America — connects eligible seniors and those at increased risk of eye disease with free medical eye exams from local volunteer ophthalmologists.
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) — food assistance dollars for families facing financial crisis.
- The Columbus Recovery Center — therapy and treatment for drug and alcohol addictions, plus an app to find treatment options online.
